Michael T. O’Neil is a member in the firm’s business law department and focuses primarily on general corporate matters of the closely held business, debt and equity financings, contract negotiations, and merger and acquisition matters.

Work for Clients

In the business law area, Mr. O’Neil has been involved in representing companies in a broad range of business stages from start-ups to publicly traded companies.   A large part of Mr. O’Neil’s practice consists of representing banks, investors and companies in corporate financing transactions including traditional and nontraditional bank debt financings and venture capital financings.   In addition, Mr. O’Neil has represented purchasers or sellers in many merger and acquisition transactions.

Mr. O’Neil represents clients in diverse industries, with a particular focus on the issues of starting, owning, operating and selling closely held businesses.

Professional Activities

Mr. O’Neil is a member of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the Boston Bar Association and Massachusetts Bar Association.

Publications/Presentations

Mr. O’Neil served as Articles Editor for the Boston University Law Review.
