J. Keith Phifer is an associate in the firm of Schlossberg and Associates, P.C.   Mr. Phifer concentrates his practice on advising clients in the areas of estate planning, corporate law, and taxation.

Work for Clients

Mr. Phifer has advised high net worth individuals and those owning and operating small to medium size businesses regarding income, estate, and gift tax treatment of both personal and business assets, as well as a broad range of corporate matters. Mr. Phifer specializes in the coordination of estate plans with business and succession planning.   Such plans focus on asset protection and minimizing estate and gift taxes. In the corporate realm, Mr. Phifer represents businesses and their owners in all areas of business and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, incorporations, executive compensation, shareholder agreements, and financing.

Professional Activities

Mr. Phifer is admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Mr. Phifer has spoken on many occasions regarding estate planning and business law, including as a featured guest on the Radio Program Money Matters and as a lecturer at the Boston University School of Management Certified Financial Planning program.

Mr. Phifer is currently pursuing his LL.M. in Taxation at Boston University School of Law
and is expected to matriculate in May of 2009
